Round Table “Views on economic progress in Georgia”

On 12 September 2012, a roundtable entitled: "Views on economic progress in Georgia" took place at the Sheraton Metechi Palace organized by ICC Georgia with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Georgia.
The meeting was opened by a welcome speech from Mr. Fady Asly, Chairman of ICC Georgia, followed by introductory remarks by H.E. Philip Dimitrov regarding economic growth and challenges from the EU perspective.
After the welcoming ceremony, the floor was open for Mr. Giorgi Targamadze leader of the Christian Democrats. Mr. Targamadze presented their economic Program for the coming four years.The mission of the Christian-Democratic Movement represents active participation in building a united, self-reliant state. Oriented on humanism and solidarity, the party is based upon the formation of human freedom, spiritual and material well-being of society and favorable environment.
The main goal of the Christian-Democratic Movement of Georgia is to come to power through elections and to establish these declared values into practice. Mr. Targamadze introduced the main goal of the party and touched upon problematic issues such as Education, Employment, Healthcare, Economy, National Budget, Territorial integrity.
ICC Georgia Members, Georgian and International business community attended this event together with the Diplomatic Corps, EU Delegation and NGO's.
The session continued in a questions & answer format, where Mr. Targamadze answered all questions raised during the event.The date and venue for the next two round tables with the Georgian Dream and the United National Movement will be announced soon.
