Meeting with Mr. Archil Kbilashvili 18 October, 2012

In the scope of regular meetings with the government of Georgia, ICC Georgia organized a Round Table with Mr. Archil Kbilashvili, the nominated Prosecutor General of Georgian - on 18 October 2012 at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hote. The event was organized exclusively for ICC Members and the Diplomatic Corps.
The meeting was opened by Fady Asly, Chairman of ICC Georgia and followed by Mr. Kbilashvili's presentation. The ICC Georgia business community was concisely informed about what will be the polices and approach of the Prosecutor General vis-à-vis imminent country-wide judicial reform and restructuring. ICC members and the Diplomatic Corps were given ample time for questions and responses.
Currently, Mr. Archil Kbilashvili is the only Georgian Legal counsel representing applicants in two arbitration cases (case No ARB/05/23 and case No ARB/05/18) before ICSID arbitration. Mr. Archil Kbilashvili represents interests of many Georgian and foreign corporative clients in Georgia doing business in immovable property, trade, natural resources, energy, banking system and education. He has been praised for his combination of local expertise and an internationally-minded approach. From the 2nd of November 2007, Mr. Archil Kbilashvili was appointed to the position of Personal Advocate-Council of French Embassy in Georgia.
