17 June, 2011- Seminar on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporate Governance

ICC Georgia is organizing seminar on Arbitration and Corporate Governance which will be held on 17th of June, at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel. Registration starts at 10:45. The seminar is divided into two parts. First part will cover Alternative Dispute Resolution conducted by Mr. Matthew Allen - a lawyer at Hall Booth Smith & Slover (HBSS), second part concerning Corporate Governance will be outlined by Mr. Kakha Kuchava - a partner at Eristavi Law Group.

7 June, 2011-debate on Deep Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with Europe

ICC Georgia, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and New Economic School organized the debate titled "Deep Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) with Europe- costs versus benefits" on 7th of June at Sheraton Metechi Palace. Panelists were: H.E Philip Dimitrov head of the EU Delegation in Georgia, Ms. Tamar Kovziridze - Advisor to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Gia Jandieri - Vice-President of the New Economic School, Dr. Dietmar Doering - Free Trade Economist, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, Ms. Yasemin Pamuk-Director of South Caucasus Project, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, Ms. Virginie Cossoul-Project Manager at EU Delegation, Georgia.


ICC Georgia General Assembly May 2, 2011

On May 2, 2011, ICC Georgia held its third annual General Assembly over a lunch at the Sheraton Metechi Palace.
The agenda included a presentation of ICC-Georgia's activities for 2010 and the strategy and plans for 2011, as well as the elections of three new Board Members and the 1st Vice Chairman.
In his address, ICC's Chairman, Fady Asly, welcomed the members and made a presentation on the Chambers' activities and its unique achievements throughout 2010-2011.


General Assembly

The time has come when ICC Georgia's members have to elect three new candidates for the Board of Directors. All candidates who are willing to run for the Board are requested to send a written expression of interest by April 26th, 2011.
The General Assembly represents the supreme body of the Organization and meets once a year; all ICC Georgia members are entitled to participate and to vote for the candidate of their choice.
The General Assembly will meet on May 2nd 2011. Detailed information about the candidates running for the Board of Directors will be uploaded shortly.


April 4, 2011-Business Lunch with Head of the Revenue Service- Jaba Ebanoidze

ICC members had the opportunity to have lunch at Tbilisi Marriott with Mr. Jaba Ebanoidze the newly appointed Head of the Revenue Service; Mr. Ebanoidze introduced the reforms that the Government intends to introduce to ease the business climate and presented new initiatives concerning audit outsourcing, which will help companies perform better and be more successful in the market.
