The Strategic Importance of ISO 30414 with Mr. Zahid Mubarik

On October 8, ICC Georgia’s HR Committee hosted an insightful session at our Tbilisi office, featuring a special presentation by Mr. Zahid Mubarik, Founder & CEO of HR Metrics.
The discussion focused on the strategic importance of ISO 30414 and its alignment with the EU’s new ESRS, particularly ESRS S1. ICC Georgia and Marika Abuashvili (ICC Georgia Board, GNARE Chair) hosted a FREE Home Staging workshop, introducing this North American trend to Georgia. Compliance & Ethics – Legal Aspects of Human Capital Management

EVA and ICC Georgia invited participants to a training on “Compliance & Ethics – Legal Aspects of Human Capital Management” on May 29. The session covered ISO 30414, the first international standard for human capital reporting, which included 11 key areas such as compliance, ethics, and workforce risks. The first module focused on legal aspects of HR management and mitigating risks for sustainable business growth. The training was designed for HR managers and lawyers.
Presentation of Foreign Economic Dependence Index

On May 15th, ICC Georgia and Ebit Group presented the Foreign Economic Dependence Index, analyzing 2024’s trends vs. past years. Ms. Tamar Chkhatarashvili explained how the index measures dependence across trade, FDI, and tourism. The engaging discussion at ICC Georgia’s office provided valuable insights.
The Georgian Economic Paradox

ICC Georgia hosted an insightful presentation on April 30, 2025, titled ‘The Georgian Economic Paradox,’ examining why mass emigration persists despite GDP growth, rising exports, and falling unemployment. Levan Nadibaidze, a strategy consultant and former McKinsey & Co. advisor, analyzed the disconnect between economic metrics (e.g., doubled GDP since 2010) and the exodus of 9% of Georgia’s population (2012–2023). The session explored potential causes behind this paradox, followed by a Q&A. Held at ICC Georgia’s office, the discussion provided critical insights into Georgia’s economic trajectory and demographic challenges.

On April 10, ICC Georgia hosted BIA‘s presentation of their BIA MEDIA platform – a digital solution helping businesses showcase their operations and CSR activities. Attendees explored risk mitigation strategies, open account financing, and panel discussions led by experts. The event provided valuable networking opportunities with regional financial institutions and insights into the future of trade finance.

The ICC Human Resources Committee hosted a meeting on February 21, 2025, titled ‘Why Should We Implement Human Capital Reporting?’ The discussion focused on the upcoming 2026 mandate for workforce reporting (ESRS S1) and its importance for businesses to measure ROI in human capital. Salome Arghvliani, HR Committee Chair and Founder of EVA HR Consulting, led the session at Terminal. The event highlighted how human capital reporting impacts both business performance and socio-economic development.
