The roundtable discussion was focused on corporate practice of respecting Human Rights in Georgia. Businesses had the opportunity to share with the UN working Group the local practice, existing shortcomings, and examine international successful cases of responsible business conduct.
The UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights is visiting the country at the invitation of the Government of Georgia. Following the visit the Working Group will prepare a report of its findings, which will include recommendations to the Government and other relevant stakeholders. The event is organized by CiDA, the Secretariat of Global Compact Network Georgia, with financial support of Government of Sweden.
