In cooperation with ICC Georgia & the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, UNICEF organized a roundtable meeting “Business for Child Welfare” on April 12, 2019 in Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel.

The event was attended by representatives of Government,Private sector and CSO’s.

The roundtable discussion was focused on local and global practices of protection of children with disabilities. Businesses had the opportunity to share their long therm view. Representatives of social services presented shortcomings on behalf of their side and examined local successful cases of responsible business conduct.

UNICEF presented successful examples of private sector engagement in the field of child welfare, reviewed child care priorities and partnership opportunities between public and private sector and discussed current needs in the field of disability and opportunities for the private sector to contribute to the development of the child welfare system.
