Please tell us about your success story, what stages have you gone through, what difficulties have you faced and what stage are you at now?
I often think am I successful? For many of my friends and acquaintances probably. For me, success is still ahead and I think- that’s good. There have been and there are many small advances, but I still have plenty of goals and probably early to call the success of what I am doing now. I was born during the communist regime. When I was telling friends about my goals at that time, they laughed.
When it was almost impossible to go abroad, I would argue that I would definitely see Paris. I would argue that when I grew up, I would definitely have my job and get involved in the big production process. I didn’t know exactly what in the field, I just wanted what I was creating, benefiting from people. By that I would like to say that I had goals and little – little success that stimulated me.
I never thought about stopping … I mostly believed my heart and followed him. Often the mind was trying to say it is impossible … I wanted to do a particular thing with all my heart and all the events were going on to go to the goal … I don’t want anyone to think that it is just a desire to do anything and to do nothing, on the contrary, when you have a goal, you have to take a moment and act. Here’s how much I think …
As for difficulties, all things are accompanied by difficulties that do not have to be crucial, you have to look at them as another, solving task, relax and try to solve the problem quietly. If the problems do not end there, I look back at the seal of King Solomon and repeat- “And that will pass”.
How do you deal with challenges in your career? Can you think of the biggest challenge that you successfully overcame?
The hardest challenge was for me to realize that I was the head of the company and that I currently have different tasks from an ordinary employee. It has always been difficult, and it is still today to make a decision when there is no compromise. Here, too, I would say one person’s words, “If you want to make everyone happy, you won’t be a leader, it is better to sell ice cream.”
I worked a lot about myself, and I still work today to avoid breaking myself before and after every decision. I wouldn’t hide it, I also worked with a psychologist to overcome complexes and be comfortable with myself. The rising point is of course learning … learning and learning once again to understand how your business is working and find out in the areas you didn’t need to study before.
Name three main skills that you think are essential in the life of an independent, successful woman.
I can’t distinguish between a woman and a man. I do not like. I think the qualities of successful people have about the same. Balanced, ambitious. It should not be difficult for him to make decisions and I would add a little adventurer …
Tell us about your current activities. Introduce us Smile Mix. What does it offer to the market and how difficult is it to manage such a complex company?
The company “SMILE MIX ” was created with the investments of the Ukrainian company. A few years ago, in Ukraine, we met our current founder, whom I presented to Georgia with its tax system as an additional new opportunity for him. As it was about construction, paints would certainly be one of the demanding products- as construction boom was underway in Georgia.
At that time, local varnish companies were very few. Discharge of the production process in Georgia would be of particular interest to large construction companies, as the local manufacturer always has the opportunity to satisfy the demand-of-a-quantity of quality products. Of course, the quality was an important issue and is. Georgia is not a rich country, but I think it is strict for quality. I knew it would be a problem with Georgian or even Ukrainian production, as Georgia’s loyalty to products produced in Europe is high.
The difficulty was probably the only one and sometimes it is, but it is overcome … Time will definitely sort everything in its place. Our job is to offer customers a high quality, safe product and a good service. The rest of the difficulties I think is overwhelming.
Based on your experience, how much is the growing tendency of the population to use environmentally friendly products? What challenges do you see in this regard?
I think, we love Georgians to watch the trends and follow them. Recently, many programs have been dedicated to the issue of ecology and environmentally friendly pieces on the market, I think this is very good.
People receive more and more information on various products. If before buying a product they were not interested in its ecology- now for many, especially those who have children have become a priority. They ask more questions and want to get more information what they buy. I think the future has quality and environmentally friendly products, not only in building materials.
Finally, we will ask you our traditional question, what advice would you give to aspiring professionals and young people who are now taking their first career steps?
I can’t stand as an advisor, because I don’t know which is the right way to the end. I would only say one thing: Trust your heart. First of all, find out what you are lucky to do … don’t fulfill someone else’s wishes, just listen to yourself. When you love the job you do, I don’t think it’s unsuccessful …
